Founded in 1955 Thompson's are a family owned independent builders merchant with three generations now working for the company. Thompson's has enjoyed rapid growth over the last 5 years now boasting 4 companies over 9 branches.
Our policy has always been to recruit wherever possible from local communities.
Anne Ganley, one of Britain's few female builders' merchant leaders, is Managing Director and has successfully maintained the independence of the company whilst strengthening its already strong presence in the North East.
